toSocial helps media outlets to provide their social media audience with more context on each of their posts. This includes adding branding to the card image, including a small company logo, and a tagline that clearly identifies the post as “breaking news,” “opinion,” “in-depth,” etc.
This tool can help journalists counter the spread of fake news on social media. By providing followers with extra information about each post, news outlets can build up their credibility and brand recognition while simultaneously helping readers make more informed decisions about the content they click or share on Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms.
toSocial is available to all journalists to use ia ICFJ partner Pykih's ProtoGraph platform, which also houses toTimeline, toQuiz and other storytelling tools. Email ICFJ Knight Program Manager Sara Olstad (solstad@icfj.org) to get started.
