Salud con Lupa, or Health with a Magnifying Glass, is a first-of-its-kind digital platform and collaborative network for conceiving, promoting and following investigative journalism about public health and medicine in Latin America.

Launched by ICFJ Knight Fellow Fabiola Torres in June 2018, Salud con Lupa is an expansion of the Latin American Health Journalists Network and is inspired in part by the U.S.-based Association of Health Care Journalists, which has promoted the training of specialized journalists and the development of in-depth reports and investigations about public health and medicine since 1997.

The Salud con Lupa community is open to all citizens, journalists and organizations interested in investigative reporting and data about the health industry. The platform is a hub for health journalism resources and opportunities with announcements about new courses, workshops, databases, conferences, scholarships, grants and jobs.

Journalists who report on health issues can register to receive emails about new data as well as invitations to participate in exclusive training sessions and projects.
